Solid and void are two core principles that define this new build of two rectangular forms, after the old house was voluntarily burned down (see last slide!)
Wood, steel, and glass details create a modern yet inviting interior, contrasting with the Shenandoah mountain views.

Sometimes all you need to feel like your house has more space is to switch the location of the kitchen and dining!

More storage solutions in this open concept renovation + third-floor addition include a cube of commodity, library shelving for the new office, and built-ins in the new primary suite-- which sloped ceiling matches the existing roof line to create a seamless appearance from the street.
