When I first started this project, I really considered my client and how he lived and who he was. I wanted to create spaces within his home where he could entertain and people gather and laugh and chat, as well as areas where someone could step away and have a quiet convo or read a book. I wanted every room to be unique, have a piece that would start a conversation and just feel all around inviting; a place you’d like to stay for a while even if just to see what’s around the corner. It’s getting there…

From idea to concept to finalizing the details and importing it to the US from Portugal and then getting it from the Port of Baltimore to my client has been an incredible labor of love (and determination!) but it’s finally here and well worth the wait (and most of the tears)!

The desk is beyond stunning. The installers kept saying “wow! This is nice!” They loved that the desk acts as a lever and can turn about the drawer axis. And I love that the finish on the leg perfectly matched the orange Moleskine notebooks my client uses to take notes and organize his thoughts. The quality and finishes on the desk are truly outstanding.

My client is happy and even contemplating getting another for his actual workplace office. Meanwhile, the thought of going through the import process again has me feeling like I need a nap! 😅🥲🥴

When a friend/client says he is moving out of his house, leaving everything behind, wants to completely start over and wants you to help make it happen in 3 weeks…😳😳😳

I held my end of the bargain and created a calming, zen space that is helping my friend “close some of his browsers” and become more intentional. I can’t say enough about how much of a joy it is to work with people who trust you implicitly. Those clients always seem to love the final result the most and that gives me the greatest satisfaction! Wait until the end for the pic where you see how much Eric loves his new space!

A little less than a year ago, I walked into a woodworking shop looking for a breakfast table. I was pleasantly surprised to find an artisan who specialized in reclaiming decades old fallen trees in NC and turning them into beautiful functional works of art. I saw this piece standing in a corner and thought it had the most amazing shape and would make a beautiful-conversation starting coffee table for my client. Now keep in mind I said “artisan” so the artist a different idea in mind for the piece but I’m persuasive and persistent so I got what I wanted!

I see it; I like it…I take pictures of it, talk to my client about it; discuss pricing, etc, etc, etc…
