The conversation around wellness in design has become bigger than saunas, cold plunges, and spa bathrooms.

And while those things can absolutely add value to a home, I think the most meaningful forms of wellness are often quieter.

A dining room that brings your family together.
Lighting that softens the end of a long day.
Storage that removes daily stress instead of adding to it.

The homes that support us best are not always the most dramatic. They’re the ones designed around how we actually live.

I’ve always believed interior design should improve quality of life. Not just visually, but emotionally and practically, too.

When a home supports your routines, reflects your values, and allows you to fully exhale, that’s wellness.

And honestly, that kind of luxury never goes out of style.

Our sweet home in 📍Washington, D.C.

We believe the best interiors begin with connection, and our studio was created to be a welcoming space for exactly that. It is filled with pieces made by hand, from India, Colombia, North Carolina, England, Mexico, Maryland, Ghana, Morocco, and Guatemala.

For us, craftsmanship is not an afterthought. It is part of the story. Every textile, object, and detail reflects the kind of design we believe in: personal, intentional, collected, and deeply connected to the hands and places that made it.

Whether we’re talking through a renovation, exploring textiles, or sitting together over coffee and fabric swatches, this space reflects the heart of how we work. Your style, our expertise, and a home that feels unmistakably yours.

Some of my favorite pieces in a home are the ones that carry a story.

A textile that reminds you of your childhood.
A painting you found while traveling.
A family heirloom passed down from generation to generation.

These are the objects that give a home depth.

Not because they’re expensive or rare, but because they feel connected to something human. A memory. A place. A craft tradition. A person.

I think people are craving that more than ever right now.

Not perfection.
Not performance.
Not homes that feel staged for the internet.

But spaces that feel layered, personal, and lived in.

What do you think? DM us your thoughts, we'd love to hear from you!

One of the things I’ve struggled with most in today’s design landscape is how many interiors are beginning to feel interchangeable.

The same trends.
The same layouts.
The same pieces repeated over and over again.

But homes are personal. Or at least they should be.

We begin every project by understanding how our clients actually live. Their routines, their personalities, the way they entertain, what helps them feel calm, inspired, or connected.

Sometimes that means…
Designing around a family’s love of music
Accommodating sensory sensitivities.
Creating gathering spaces that foster connection across generations.

The goal is never to impose a signature look.

The goal is to create a home that feels unmistakably theirs.

Because the most memorable spaces are the ones rooted in real life, not algorithms.

Save this post if this resonates with you. 💙

A few of my favorite afternoons have been spent wandering Antique Row in Kensington, popping in and out of shops with no plan and almost always leaving inspired.

It’s where I go when I’m looking for something with a little age, character, and surprise. I love that you can stop into for midcentury pieces, visit for beautiful traditional antiques, then head to for something a bit more rustic and unexpected. And if I’m hunting for smaller accessories, is always worth getting lost in.

What I love most is that nothing feels too perfect or too matched. The best rooms rarely come together that way. They are layered over time, with pieces from different eras and styles that make a home feel personal, collected, and lived in.

This vignette came together in that same spirit. The egg, orb, obelisks, and some of the china are all vintage finds, and to me, that is what gives a space its soul.

Very fun to share a few of our favorite Maryland spots with .

Mexico City always leaves us inspired. The color, architecture, handmade details, and deep respect for craft remind us why we’re so drawn to spaces with history and purpose.

Every trip brings home new ideas: layered textures, collected objects, natural materials, and interiors that feel personal, meaningful, and alive.

It’s that time of year to break out the red, white, and blue. 🇺🇸

For this space, we started with a more traditional foundation and then slowly layered in those familiar tones in a way that feels softer and more personal. The goal was to maintain a sense of structure and timelessness while making sure it still felt relaxed enough for everyday life. Nothing too precious, nothing too formal, just a space that feels easy to walk into and stay awhile.
