The “we can’t attach anything to the walls” rule is one of the most common venue restrictions in DC. It’s limiting, but there are ways around it.

Most historic hotels in DC have some version of it. The Hay-Adams is one of them.

The fix isn’t fighting the rule. It’s designing around it. Our custom tension rod system runs floor to ceiling. No drilling, no holes, no damage to the walls, and no compromise on the look.

If your venue has a no-rigging clause, that’s not a dead end. That’s just something that can be solved with a design solution.

We are hiring at Social Supply.

If you are good with your hands and you want to work somewhere where what you build actually matters, this is for you.

We design, engineer, fabricate, and install custom environments for some of the most important events in this city. Everything is built in house. We work next to CNC machines, in paint booths, and out of a warehouse full of pieces we made ourselves. This is real skilled work and we take it seriously.

We are looking for fabricators, warehouse staff, drivers, and installers.

We are hiring Event Producers and a Senior Event Producers at Social Supply.

We produce high end, complex events for clients around the DC area, nationally, and internationally. Full in house design, fabrication, and production. When something needs to look exceptional we are the call they make.

EP: 3 plus years in event production. Experiential or environmental background preferred. Ready to own client relationships and six figure budgets end to end.

Senior EP: 7 plus years specifically in experiential or environmental production. Main point of contact on $100K plus projects. Your clients come back because of you.

Both roles based just outside of DC. On-site. Growing in new directions this year and the right people coming in now will have real opportunity to grow with it.

We were out of town this week on a job. A thousand miles from home. And there were moments, things that needed adjusting, details that needed attention, that nobody would have known about if we had just let them go.
