Sensorize Your Space

Sensorize Your Space Interior design specializing in ADHD, anxiety + sensory sensitivities. Creating spaces that help you feel calm, clear + connected.

I Believe Your Space Affects Your Emotions. Your space should do more than look beautiful. It should support your emotional well-being. There’s psychology behind how a space feels, flows, and functions, and that affects how you feel every day. You don’t need a diagnosis to want peace. You just need a space that honors how you live, think, and feel. That’s why I design with purpose, tailoring each

environment to fit the way you live, think, and feel. I blend psychology, sensory awareness, color theory, and Feng Shui to create spaces that feel relaxed, organized, and aligned with you. Comfort starts in the home, and the right environment can help you feel more focused, calm, and in control.

You might assume that in order to set up a home that feels right for your nervous system, you have to wait until you have the budget to redo it.

You end up waiting and waiting. Feeling uncomfortable, hating your home.

You think you need a renovation, new furniture, or hiring a designer, which may not be realistic for you right now.

But in order for the room to feel good, it’s not just about what you buy. It’s about understanding what the space needs and knowing which changes are necessary.

That’s the part I want to show you, so you can do it yourself. Because you’re not sure how to look at your space yet. But when you do, you’ll start to notice things you never noticed before and understand why certain spaces make you feel the way they do.

You can want your home to change and still feel completely overwhelmed by what it would take to get there.

Those two things can be true at the same time.

And I think a lot of people with ADHD get stuck there for YEARS.

They care about their home. They want to try.
They’re just stuck.

Sometimes you just need a completely different way of looking at the problem.

One that helps you understand yourself first, so the changes you make at home finally make sense for YOU.

If you’ve tried all the advice, systems and solutions and somehow still feel stuck, this is for you.

We’re taught to choose colors based on what “goes together.”

But I’m much more interested in why you’re drawn to certain colors in the first place.

Sometimes we choose colors that reflect who we are. And sometimes, we choose colors that give us something we’re missing.

Color is so personal. And understanding how your brain responds to it can completely change the choices you make in your home.

Want to figure out what your brain needs?

Sometimes the home we create as adults is a reaction to the one we grew up in.

If you grew up surrounded by a ton of stuff, you might crave almost-empty rooms.

If you grew up in a home that felt like a museum, you might care more about your kids feeling comfortable in your home than keeping it pristine.

If you were embarrassed to have friends over, you might feel anxious when your own home isn’t “presentable.”

And sometimes we do the opposite. We recreate things from our childhood homes because they feel familiar and comforting.

Our idea of what a home should feel like doesn’t start when we become adults.

A lot of it was formed long before we ever had a home of our own.

And I think that’s worth paying attention to when you’re trying to figure out what you actually want from your space.

Which one was yours?

We’re so quick to assume that when something isn’t working at home, we’re the problem.

We always blame ourselves first. We need to be more organized. More disciplined. We need to be better at putting things away, better at using the spaces the way they were intended.

But I’ve learned to look at those “bad habits” differently.

They’re often clues about you.

Before you try to change what you’re doing, ask yourself WHY you keep doing it.

You might realize it makes a lot more sense to change your home than to keep trying to change yourself.

Back-to-school can make you feel like you need a whole new system for your family.

You don’t need to make it complicated!

Start with the parts of the day that were hard last year.
The things everyone was constantly looking for. The homework battles. The after-school meltdowns. The rushed mornings.

Make a few small changes at home, then give it a week and see what actually helps.

I made a free ADHD-Friendly Back-to-School Home Reset to help you figure out where to start.

Comment SCHOOL and I’ll send it to you.

You can spend a LOT of money trying to make your home feel better and still feel like something is off.

Because sometimes you don’t need a new rug, another basket, or a better organizing system.

You need to understand what’s not working in the space you already have:

➡️How you function in it.
➡️What you see.
➡️What you feel when you’re in it.
➡️Where things are placed.
➡️How much stimulation your brain is getting.

Whether the room is even functional for you.

That’s the part that we don’t talk about enough. The big picture. Not just the details of the space.

It’s not just about getting rid of stuff. Or decluttering.
It’s about setting up your home according to what your brain needs.

If you’re tired of trying to make your home work for you and you still can’t figure out what’s wrong with your space, comment START and I’ll send you what I created to help.
