I am not a huge fan of long range forecasts because so much can change in a few weeks, but there are signals this year that would point to at least an average winter in CT. The combination of a weak to moderate La Niña and a relatively cool autumn have given us “throwback” winters in the past. It can be easy to forget how much snow we average, which is approximated below. Please keep in mind this map is an estimate, and was based on studies I did in college. Elevation will make a huge difference in all areas.
