Project took 2 and a half weeks total. Scraped , caulked and 2 coats of finish paint. Then removed the old sign and gave it a refresh by hand. Made a huge difference!

Finishing piecing in the edges today. I’ll post before and after pics once everything is done.. Started by furring the walls all out 3/4 of an inch.. Followed by drywall, lighting, and now the ceiling.. Another coat of paint once this is done and some flooring to go!
