Solar is here to stay. For homeowners, solar is the best protection against rising rates and if you add a battery, you protect against brownouts and blackouts too. It is likely that there will be financial incentives for having the Virtual Power Plants. The electric companies will pay a premium for that stored power when they can't keep up. Guess who pays for that? Those who don't go solar.
