In May 2020 we built this pergola to be used for outdoor Masses at St. Mary’s during COVID. It worked well for Mass and a few other functions but had not been used since the pandemic ended.
Last spring the village contacted me to build a stage for musical acts and other community events at Vern Allen park. Father Chris kindly donated the pergola to the village for this purpose. We deconstructed the structure, moved it all to our shop, pressure washed the components and applied two coats of stain.
Then moved all the parts to the park and rebuilt the pergola/bandstand. The first musical act to use the bandstand was Hillbilly parade.
Felt good to repurpose the structure which most likely would have ended up in a landfill.

Our first deck by number build in 37 years. This deck in Florida, NY is just over a year old. The previous deck builder failed to install a rain diversion system as requested by the homeowner. Everything got tagged and labeled then we dismantled the railing and decking. Had to modify quite a bit of the framing for the Trex rain escape system to be installed next week.
