Polaris Snow Check Day.

Honestly, I'm a bit disappointed in the new lineup.

Aside from having a "factory" edition, there are some continued small refinements, but not enough to justify $23k. The factory edition is just Polaris bumpers, strengthened skids, and Custom colors...nothing that isn't actually better after market.

Looks like I'm tweaking the '21 850 (boost...?) and '24 9R (power dome, maybe a 155 track/skid setup) for next year. Maybe a couple wraps.

So yes some disappointment, but this also means I can make my already good sleds even better. Plus this frees up money on a summer purchase I've been considering. But you're going to have to wait for that...😎

Always be a kid at heart...and if you have to move a truck, take advantage of the opportunity and entertain yourself.

On a serious note, I need to do a true and actual flex test of this truck. I still have 4 inches of compression on both passenger front and Driver rear shocks.

"Ramp" is roughly 22 inches tall.

My first 360 camera: the me Max 2!

Had to do it, even though early reviews indicate the need for a few key firmware updates...I just didn't want to have to purchase new mounting systems, and learn a new OS, so took the chance.

Maybe I get this thing on the Harley for One Last Ride before I get the sleds out

I have been looking for these four pocket knives for almost two decades. I thought I lost them when I left Texas in 2008, but just found them today. Given how long they've been missing, they are no longer in the best shape...but I intend to rectify that, and once done, they will serve me for many, many more years.

The top two are my grandfather's; you can tell which one he preferred, it is likely he was given these when he was a child before or during the Great Depression.

The bottom left is my very first knife I had as a cub scout, and is the one that began my journey out of childhood.

The bottom right is one that was given to me by a Fairbanks Athabascan man when I was a State Trooper in the 90s as a farewell token after I was transferred to Bethel.

None of them are worth more than a few dollars on the open market, but the sentimental value that these four blades possess is indescribable.

Today has become a very good day!

At 249 years old, and in the face of massive adversity, the greatest human experiment ever attemped endures.

So before you cook that hot dog and light that firework, take a few moments and read the Declaration of Independence to those in attendance.

Part 2 introducing the 1977 F150 project just posted on youtube, this time the drivetrain. Nothing spectacular, but felt it important enough to document the starting point. Bone stock Ford 400 with a C6 transmission, np205 transfer case, and a Dana 44 and Ford 9-in at the front and rear.
