Ephesians 3:16-19

Although not considered eco-friendly, I like to plant seedlings in clear plastic cups so I can watch the roots grow. (I do wash and recycle cups for next time.) Roots develop before leaves. Too much sun, too much rain, wind, drought, etc. causes adversity for plants which, in the end, makes them stronger.

It's the same in our lives as well. Our troubles make us stronger, and/or more compassionate, or humble, more Christ-like. Adversity matures us. The Bible states "count it all joy." Grow strong roots of faith and trust. Those roots enable you to endure.
