This month, we completed the integration of a master suite into the house. The bathroom and closet were originally a spare room at the front of the house, which we converted by sealing the door and creating a new entrance through the room. The floors required re-leveling, so we removed the existing flooring and re-leveled the floors. A wall was then built to separate the bathroom and closet, and pocket doors were installed. Two doors leading to the bedroom were removed. The bathroom and closet ceilings and walls were renovated, and a jet tub was plumbed in. The shower and floor were tiled, and all appliances, including a new on-demand hot water heater in the basement, were installed. Additionally, several radiators were relocated to provide heat. The rooms and doorways were then trimmed to complete the unit.
