This summer one of my six wonderful daughters was married at Immaculate Conception Church in Ithaca. We celebrated her marriage at Maryhill Farm, the dairy farm in Dryden, New York where I grew up. This photo shows the heifer barn where we had the cocktail hour, tent for reception, and the beautiful old granary. My parents settled this farm in 1947. We milked 33 Holstein cows until 1987. We now rent the land to an organic dairy farmer. Stay tuned for more photos about the farm.

Abe told me that I didn't need to completely repaint the house, but that he and his crew could assess the need and prepare and paint only those areas that needed it. There was a little more than we originally thought, but his painter was very thorough. The weather did not cooperate - heavy rain followed by 95 degree days, but Seamus persevered and finished in a little over a week. He did a very good job and was prompt and neat."
