2 bathrooms redone.1 closet redone.1 laundry room redone. All while welcoming baby #2 in February of 2025, making our toddler a big brother, maintaining full-time jobs, getting more involved in our community, making new friends, traveling, getting hundreds of lavender plants in the ground, getting blueberry bushes established, replacing our water line, having our property be a bit more developed, and sooooo much more! We are a busy bunch. We love what we’re doing. We love our life. We can’t wait to continue building in 2026 ✨❤️‍🔥HAPPY NEW YEAR, FRIENDS!

I spy Lauren Gunderman’s church! 😍

Please join us for the third Local Planning Committee (LPC) meeting for the Waterville NY Forward on July 31, 2025 from 6-8PM at the Waterville Municipal Hall. At this meeting, the LPC will review key findings from the Downtown Profile and discuss the proposed projects received through the Open Call. This meeting is open to the public, and time will be reserved at the end of the meeting for public comment.

Ever wonder how we plant our lavender at Star Manor? 💜 It’s a bit of a process, but it makes all the difference in creating healthy, low-maintenance rows that last. Here’s what it looks like: First, we till the land to loosen things up. Then we add a layer of loose compost to feed the soil. Next, we mix in perlite and sand to improve drainage (lavender really doesn’t like wet roots). We roll out heavy-duty landscaping fabric to keep weeds at bay. Measure and mark our planting spaces. Cut small Xs into the fabric and peel them back. And finally, plant the lavender into each space 💫It’s a labor of love. We can’t wait to see these rows bloom next year!

Post-bedtime hustle hits different.Not pictured: a full day of fieldwork with a toddler splashing in water toys and a 5-month-old cycling through her cute little unicorn toys and teethers. We planted 20 lavender plants during the day—and knocked out 20 more after bedtime. Just two away from finishing our Provence variety.This is what grit looks like when you’re building a dream and raising tiny humans. 💪🏻
