This is why we choose to use a better quality material than alot of installers out there. This siding was done almost 4 years ago. We installed new siding, soffit, fascia and window trims. We also added Green Guard house wrap, foundation cap and pre corners at the time of installation to keep everything water tight.
The homeowner removed a vent and needed 2 pieces of siding replaced on the sunniest side of his home. With cheaper, low quality materials, sun fade would have been a major concern. We most likely would've had to reside the whole wall. Yet, almost 4 years later, we reinstalled 2 brand new pieces of siding. Can you tell where they were replaced?
There is no reason that vinyl siding shouldn't last 40+ years if installed properly with a quality vinyl product. Give it a cleaning once in a while with mild soap & water, and it will look fabulous for decades. This is my first service call on a home, and it's only because there was a change made to the exterior.
Nothing beats quality workmanship with quality products at a quality price!
