AG Architecture

AG Architecture While a firm’s reputation may be built upon its portfolio of work, the true value is in the people

In the senior living marketplace we have created projects both large and small in scale. We have served the highest and lowest ends of the socio-economic spectrum, and construction budgets are sometimes enormous and sometimes quite modest. Regardless, AG’s projects are distinguished by the firm’s singular ability to develop large-scale residential environments which create a warm, home-like atmosp

here for senior residents, while meeting the practical needs of both public and private sponsors. The firm also has a rich history in the design of the full range of multi-family building types including a growing portfolio of mixed use structures in urban environments. Projects have ranged from small additions and remodeling to major high-rise structures and significant complexes encompassing several hundred acres. The firm has provided design services for municipalities and private sector organizations. Building types include mixed use, multi-family housing, adaptive re-uses, retail facilities, religious facilities and medical facilities.

Hybrid Homes — Design Principles for Today’s Residents
As older adults contemplate a transition from their cherished home to the lifestyle of senior living communities, they often face a limited choice of available housing options: cottages or corridor buildings. There has to be a better option, right? Architects, developers, and owners are now saying, YES.

Hybrid homes expand resident choice and provide owners and developers with a compelling senior living housing product.

AG Architecture was pleased to host Brent Roffers & Tou Thao as UWM Externs for a week of immersive learning and hands-on exposure to architectural practice. Their schedule was intentionally designed to give them a broad view of firm life, including design exercises, team and project meetings, portfolio and resume reviews, discussions on administration, concept design, construction documents, MEP coordination, marketing, critique sessions, and a project site tour.
One of the most rewarding parts of hosting externs is helping students connect the dots between what they learn in school and what they experience in practice. Over the week, they had the chance to see that architecture is not only about design ideas, but also about teamwork, communication, technical problem-solving, and learning from others across the profession.
We hope the experience gave them a stronger sense of what a future in architecture can look like and helped build confidence as they continue their educational journey. Thank you to the many AG team members who shared their time, knowledge, and encouragement throughout the week. Supporting students as they explore the profession is an important investment in the future of architecture.
We are grateful to have been part of their journey and look forward to seeing where their path in architecture leads next!
