Volunteer Opportunities at Vincent House:

We are always looking for new Resident Care Volunteers:
-Volunteers work in teams of 2 during 4-hour shifts.
-Volunteers have direct contact with residents providing assistance in the activities of daily living and friendship to support to residents and their families.
-Resident Care Volunteers are trained in the necessary skills and are encouraged to wo

rk with a volunteer mentor for as long as they need. Support Service Volunteer Teams:
-Vincent House requires several teams of people to do house cleaning (anything from light housework to full seasonal cleaning), outdoor and indoor maintenance, gardening, fund-raising and publicity. Maybe this weekend was an especially difficult weekend for you. Grief can be surprising and is always unscheduled. Grief can knock you off your feet and make you feel lost and alone.

Please know that you are not alone. Everyone grieves, though it also looks different for every person.

You are invited to come to the Wayland Public Library for our Creating Through Grief group. You will learn that you are not alone, and you will see that the act of art can help the brain to process unhealed moments in our minds.

✨Thank you Alstom!!✨

✨June 12th was United Way Day of Caring, when teams of people from different organizations and companies all across the nation chose to volunteer their time and skills at other non-profit organizations. This year, Alstom came to Vincent House and we were blown away by them!

✨They came in with such energy and enthusiasm! Their willingness to jump right in and get down and dirty in the basement was amazing! They organized our linen closet perfectly! They carried the heavy air conditioners and got them set up and running for us! They even put our freezers up on pallets to prevent any other future disasters! And then they asked if there was anything else they could help us with!

❤Alstom, you were the right people at the right time. Thank you so much for stepping in and being so willing to help. ❤

🌟This week's Wishlist Wednesday is more for the outside of the house!🌟

Vincent House is a home, and for almost every one of our guests, it is their last home. So we do everything in our power to make it comfortable and beautiful for them, which includes the lawns, gardens, and the porches.

🌸If you'd like to donate a bag of bird seed or a hanging flower basket, please note that we can absolutely right a tax receipt for you when you drop it off. 🌺

✨Thank you to Nancy and Paul for donating the flag today!

❤ When we have a veteran stay with us, the flag that is flying on the day that they pass is lowered, folded and sent to the funeral home with them. This is one way that Vincent House honors our veterans and their families, who have sacrificed so much for us.

And we do it in the easiest way possible. By clicking the link and filling out the information, you get to get rid of that vehicle without having to take it anywhere. The tow truck will come to you and take care of it all.
