While I didn’t walk away with a monetary prize at tonight’s Furniture Bash of The Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit, I can easily tell you I walked away with such an incredibly full heart ❤️ What an amazing experience!
The winning bid for my Motown tables turned out to be the cameraman for the event, and friend of the artist that painted the Detroit building with the Stevie Wonder Mural, which was my inspiration of the Motown tables.
Another furniture flipper at tonight’s event was the 1 and only Lori Pinson Fox 2! Not only does she tell us when to grab our umbrellas, she also has a hidden talent of flipping pieces! I was lucky enough to meet her and Lila Lazarus tonight. Two Detroit legends of their own right.
I will absolutely be back next year!

Just one week away! All of the other contestants have dropped their pieces off to The Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit for this years Furniture flip challenge. There were 47 more pieces to be delivered after my drop was made. 88 pieces in total were reimagined for the benefit dinner on September 10th.
Yesterday, I received these pictures that were taken when I delivered last week. I received incredible compliments, and yesterday was told that people are raving about them. 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 fingers crossed the judges feel the same!

🎧🎶🎤Ohh Baby, HERE I AM! Signed, Sealed, Delivered 🎶🎤🎧

If I’m being honest, it was really hard to leave Stevie there, super proud of that one, but even if my pieces don’t take home a prize, the true winners are those families, and babies who benefit from the funds that will be raised during the The Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit’s Furniture Flip Bash on September 10th 💙

The pieces are starting to arrive at The Furniture Bank, and my clock is ticking! I have 15 days until deadline- but in my world this means I have only 6 days 😳🙏🤦🏻‍♀️ if only life gave us endless hours in our days, I’d find a way to paint in all of them 🎨👩🏻‍🎨❤️

It’s August!! You know what that means?! It’s hustle time! Today I begin the final piece for The Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit’s 2026 Furniture Flip Bash! There’s lots to do on the other pieces still, and I only have 27 days left to complete them all 😳😨 It’s time to get busy! Sunrise paint sesh’s for this girl all month 😴😴
