The directive: add whimsy.

Taking our cue from a craggy sailor & his bold red coat, we followed the red thread theory—quite literally—and carried that punch of color through the console area. The clients then kept it going, adding more touches through their Ocean City, NJ beach house.

A few playful choices later & this once safe spot now has personality to spare. Swipe for the before and the whole finished room!

Closing out the summer season 😢 with a fun vacation rental before & after—and this one came with a deadline.

This client purchased an LBI rental in early spring and needed to get it renter-ready FAST. Luckily, we both know the vacation rental world well, so we started with the big stuff: beds, sofas, common-area layouts and those all-important drop zones that make a rental actually function.

Working completely remotely, we teamed up to find durable, readily available pieces while she tackled some light renovations on her end.

The payoff for all this hustle was cute renter-ready house PLUS bookings for the second half of the season, just a few months after taking ownership. No small feat!

There are still finishing touches to come this offseason but there’s now plenty of time for that.

Sometimes my job is simply to see what a space *could* be.

During this recent whole-home consultation, we tackled lots of areas, including their hardworking but underperforming mudroom/laundry room.

I suggested rethinking the layout (hello, stacked washer + dryer!), then connected my clients with my besties—Becky from California Closets and ZC & Son Contractors to help make it happen.

My client took it from there, choosing the design direction herself and checking back in with me for a few questions along the way.

That’s the power of a consultation: triage the problems, make a game plan and then connecting with the right people to get it done!

You don’t always need full-service design. Sometimes, you just need the right plan and the right team💪

Want to ensure your college kids to come back home? Take a page from my client’s book & redo their bathroom!

The goal was give this space a fresh new personality without unnecessarily ripping out what already worked, which was a lot.

We kept the big stuff like the vanity, penny tile & shower, adding in wallpaper, millwork, paint, lighting, fixtures and a new mirror. Cute, right?
