Asheville City Council voted unanimously to change the name of greenway in River Arts District to honor an Asheville literary and environmental icon.

Exciting news! The City of Asheville is planning on a series of celebrations for the new greenway. Celebrations start on Earth Day and end May 20. We are certainly proud to have been part of the design team for the French Broad River Greenway East. Check out this article from Asheville Citizen Times. More greenways to come and SDS is extremely excited to be a part of designing more greenways in Buncombe County and the City of Asheville!

A proposed mixed-use development at the corner of Charlotte and Chestnut streets would bring hundreds of new residential units, as well as new retail and office space, to a 6-acre plot that's part of a local historic district.

French Broad River Greenway East

It is very exciting to see the French Broad River Greenway East project almost complete. We are extremely proud to be part of making greenways happen in the Asheville Area. Asheville has recently completed a 2-mile greenway through the River Arts District along the French Broad River and Lyman Street.
