Installation:
Our installers are all skilled craftsmen, and our installations are second to none! Carpet installers measure the area and plan the layout, keeping in mind expected traffic patterns and placement of seams. The layout is important for best appearance and maximum wear. Then they inspect the surface to be covered to determine its condition and, if necessary, correct the imperfections. Installers fasten a tackless strip to the floor next to the wall. Then they install the pad. The installers unroll the carpet fitting it to the floor using a knee kicker. Most carpet comes in 12’ widths; wall- to- wall installations require a seam to join two pieces of carpet together. The seam is a special plastic tape that is activated by heat. Carpet installation requires skill and knowledge about the materials. Faber’s prides itself on expert installation.
