Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We will be open tomorrow and Saturday (11/29 & 11/30). Starting monday, 12/1, we will be moving to winter hours of monday through friday 8:30-3 and saturdays 9-1. We are opting to stay open saturdays for now as we know that many people have to work during the week and the weekends are the only time they have. We hope everyone has a great day today!

We had a special visitor today! Santa dropped by M&L to drop off some of his yard debris in the off season. You can see him later in the year at the Wells Christmas tree lighting.

Did you know we can also take clean food scraps? As part of our on going commitment to keeping organic material out of landfills while recycling them into a usable product, we have aimed to provide a local answer for the issue of food waste diversion since the time we started planning M&L Aggregate Recycling. In the future, we plan on exploring off site pickup services offered to residential and commercial customers alike. For now, we wanted to take a minute to make this announcement as an option for those of you who may be interested. Our standard rate for organic waste disposal is $6 per yard. However, it occurs to us many of you may not deal in that amount regularly. We can offer a disposal fee of $1 on a standard sized, standard paper bag (non treated/coated) or 5 gallon bucket (bucket and bag not provided by us). If you visit us regularly, you can also mix your food scraps with your leaf or grass debris. All waste needs to be free of plastic and other trash. With food waste, this includes compostable plastic items (like coffee pods) as just because they are compostable does not mean they are good to have in a finished compost for your garden.
