Jackets made from vintage family quilts from the 1970s and late 1930s respectively. Jacket on right made from a quilt sewn by a great, great aunt who lived on an island in Maine of which most of her years there was no bridge to the mainland. Some of the fabrics included within have been identified as grain sack fabrics which would make sense, as this aunt did not drive and lived on a farm.

Quilt jacket. Semi-lined (sleeves line-free for flowing movement). Taking orders for sewing up something similar. This one made from Ring Around the Rosy fabric flowers made by my great, great Aunt Christie whom I remember. Probably made in the 1940s or 1950s. I appliqued them to squares and then machine quilted them. Contact me if interested. [email protected]. Variety of styles and vintage quilts. Chenille sleeves a possibility.

A sampling of the mittens I have made, very much like Bernie Sanders' mittens he wore to the 2021 Presidential Inauguration. Made from upcycled wool sweaters and polar fleece reportedly made from recycled plastic bottles. One size fits most. Adult sizes only. All of these have been sold, but other patterns are available.

This smaller-than-most train case was a delight to repurpose. The green hàndle and trim screamed Christmas. It will hold my holiday cards.

Having great fun making dust covers for my and Rivertree Arts' sewing machines. Basic pattern was found in a thrift shop. Delightful to embellish with appliqués and mix up fabrics.
