The Dusty Rose Sharing updates, thoughts, ideas about our homestead as well as products the we have grown or made ourselves.

We have .6 acres that we are determined to turn into our own little homestead. Living in West Alexander (a very rural town) I feel that we are not really a urban homestead but living with other houses so close I guess it almost fit the bill. We are striving to live our life freely, happily and as self sufficiently as possible. At this time we have chickens, ducks, and small medicinal herb garden,

an expanding vegetable garden, and the start to a small orchard (2 plum trees). We are planning on adding rabbits, goats, bees and a lot more to the garden. Watch for more updates, thoughts and random ramblings about our lives here on our small farm.
