Sometimes the universe uses a gentle nudge…or a full stop… to remind us to return to the flow. I took a brief break from painting, but a message from a client reminded me why I do this. They received a portrait as a gift and felt so moved they wanted to 'pay it forward' by commissioning one for someone else.

I hope I was able to capture the soul of sweet Hallie here.

I want to introduce you to this good boy, Prince. He’s extra special because he’s deaf. Deaf dogs are not considered disabled and their lack of hearing is not a weakness. It can actually be a good thing as they wont be anxious due to loud noises like fireworks or thunder storms.

Prince is a happy, active, 3 year old pittie mix. This 65 pound handsome boy graduated from obedience training as the only deaf dog in his class. He knows hand signals, is food motivated, and walks well on leash. Prince is both people and dog friendly – loves doggie daycare and lots of play.

Prince is available for adoption at Volunteer Auxiliary for Animal Shelters Inc. in Jackson, New Jersey and all he wants for valentine’s day is to be your buddy 🥹🫶🏻🐾
