Here we grow again!! B&M Tree Service, LLC is looking to hire an Office Assistant! With two new companies under our umbrella, we need help in the office.
B&M Tree Service is a family-owned business with close to 40 years of experience serving central Connecticut and beyond. We are a fully licensed and insured company and a recognized leader in quality tree service and maintenance. In addition, we have added Year Round Landscape and Year Round Power to the family.
Office Assistant
Job Summary
A successful Office Assistant will act as a point of contact for employees and customers, providing administrative support and managing their inquiries, including keeping all customer and meeting notes up to date. Primary duties include providing excellent customer service, organizational and administrative support to help keep business processes flowing smoothly and efficiently, keeping customer data base and all company digital and paper records organized and current. This person will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Providing a high level of customer service in all verbal and written communications
• Answering and replying to calls/emails, delivering messages, following up and tracking progress
• Scheduling appointments
• Maintaining database, ensuring accuracy and validity of information
• Sorting and organizing company records/files
• Invoicing/receiving payments from customers
• Monitor level of office supplies and shortages
• Perform receptionist duties when needed
Job Skills & Qualifications
• High school diploma; additional experience in office administration is a plus
• Computer literacy and ability to learn new programs/software
• Customer service oriented
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to complete tasks on time, accurately and efficiently
• Organized and detail-oriented displaying a positive attitude and approach to problem solving
• Working knowledge of office equipment
• Solid understanding of office management procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word specifically)
