Wright Outdoor Solutions Formed from the merger of Wright Tree Care and Heard Gardens, Wright Outdoor Solutions has been caring for Central Iowa’s outdoor spaces since 1928.

Wright Outdoor Solutions offers Central Iowa tree care, landscaping and maintenance, plant design and maintenance, lawn care, holiday lights and decor, snow and ice management, and mulch services. In 2013, we purchased local Iowa company The Growing Concern, which allowed us to take our services indoors as well. In 2019, we expanded our reach into the Omaha market through the acquisition of Omaha

based company Verdure Elements, offering interior plantscaping, seasonal color and holiday design services. We are proud to be employee owned and offer the area’s most complete package of services for the care of your property. Our services include tree care, landscaping and maintenance, plant design and maintenance, lawn care, holiday lights and décor, snow and ice management, and mulch. As the growing season begins, watch for tree damaging insects. Here are two common issues to monitor in the spring:

• 𝐁𝐚𝐠𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐬 – Caterpillars that feed on trees and shrubs, favoring evergreens. They are most commonly found on arborvitae, juniper, spruce and pine. Common signs include hanging bags from branches. Early detection is important, heavy infestations can lead to significant defoliation and plant stress.
• 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐡 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐫 –An invasive beetle that attacks ash trees from beneath the bark, disrupting the tree’s water and nutrients flow. Common signs include thinning ash tree canopies, beginning at the top, and the presence of dead branches. Ongoing preventative care is essential to protect your ash trees.
