A well-deserved honour for The Well: congratulations to the client and project team on receiving an Urban Design Citation from

A new mixed-use model for downtown Toronto, The Well brings together commercial, retail, and residential uses across a 7.7-acre site, extending King West’s pedestrian network through a series of porous connections and a richly layered public realm. Six residential buildings and an office tower are linked by an open-air, multi-tiered promenade beneath an undulating glazed canopy, framed by a colonnade and opening to a public amphitheatre programmed year-round.

We’re proud to have been part of the team behind this ambitious, city-shaping project.

Congratulations to our clients: , , and and our design team colleagues: .landscape

Designed by architects—Alliance, Generations Toronto brings affordable housing, long-term care, child care, and community spaces together in a new intergenerational community at Wynford Green in Don Mills.

Generations Toronto has been designed with a sense of light, transparency, and dignity. Its porcelain and patterned glass walls catch and reflect changing light throughout the day. A transparent base holds public-facing program spaces. A sheltered layer of housing and long-term care spaces is stacked above the base, together with a residential tower whose patterned skin becomes more transparent as it rises to meet the sky.

Generations Toronto expresses, in a very tangible way, how faith, care, and public life can come together—rooted in community traditions while helping to support an inclusive, humane, and confident Canadian society.

Congratulations to Generations Toronto on the occasion of the opening ceremony on March 30, 2026, attended by His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan V. Thanks as well to the project’s Federal, Provincial and municipal partners and supporters.robertson

architects—Alliance has submitted new plans for 1315 Finch Avenue West, reworking an earlier mid-rise proposal on behalf of . The new scheme responds to changing conditions in this area of North York: new transit, a greater capacity for height, and an increased need for new housing.
Located near York University and within walking distance of Finch West Station, the project proposes four towers and 1,907 new homes, of which 10% are family-sized. The design gives careful attention to how the site meets the city, introducing a new public street along the south edge and a network of pedestrian connections through the site. Together, these moves help open the development to the neighbourhood and shape a more connected, active public realm.

A major milestone for Regent Park: congratulations to Toronto Community Housing, Tridel, and all levels of government on the March 2 groundbreaking for 271 affordable homes in the next phase of this transformative revitalization.

Designed by a—A and Cobe, the new 26-storey building is conceived as a porous, community-oriented urban block, with active edges, family-focused homes, shared terraces, and community spaces that strengthen everyday connections between residents, neighbours, and the public realm. The design supports multi-generational living in Regent Park with housing that is accessible, resilient and welcoming.

We are proud to be part of a project that reflects the power of partnership and a shared commitment to affordable housing, community building, and design excellence in Toronto.

Maple House at Canary Landing has been recognized with a 2026 GREEN GOOD DESIGN Award for Green Architecture.

Presented by the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, the award recognizes projects advancing sustainability and design excellence worldwide.

Maple House is a collaboration between architects—Alliance and Cobe Architects, and responds to Toronto’s urgent need for purpose-built rental housing that is inventive, responsive to heritage, environmentally responsible, and socially aware.

Grounded in the character of the Canary District, the project re-frames this transitioning block as a diverse, welcoming downtown community — transformed, without displacement.

Design that builds housing.
Housing that builds community.

.toliving has launched an innovative rental housing partnership with and , making affordable homes available to Canadian athletes, para-athletes, and youth coaches representing Canada on the world stage.

Designed by and , Cherry House weaves together cues from the material and built form character of the Distillery District, Canary District, and Toronto’s historic industrial waterfront. Affordable and market units are ‘not identical, but indistinguishable’—built to a universally high level of quality, distributed evenly through all three blocks of the new neighbourhood, and sharing the same community amenities.

30% barrier-free. 30% affordable. 15% family-sized.
A Team Canada approach to housing, built for inclusion, excellence, and the next generation of champions.
