PEX pipe is what conducts the hot water between an outdoor wood boiler and the building that will be heated, and then back again to the boiler after the heat has been released.
This pipe is buried in the ground and insulated to keep the water hot until it reaches its destination inside the building, which may be a heat exchanger, baseboard heating or in-floor radiant heating.
From years of experience with outdoor wood boilers, I understand all the necessary components to a wood boiler heating system. Insulated PEX pipe is one of those components.
