We've been trying for a while to come up with an alternative to the conventional swinging automatic gate openers that don't do well against wind.
-Sliding gates take too much space and rely on more power, level ground and expensive hardware.
-A commercial grade vertical lift opener can start at 7-8k dollars and still rely on power options that not everyone has.
The 'SKY GATE' kit (working on the name) utilizes off the shelf gate openers and all the options those offer to create a vertically pivoting gate opener that only fights gravity instead of wind. If your one of the MANY that has the swinging automatic gate openers but yours is unpinned and not being used, this may be for you.
-Can be installed and operated on uneven grades.
-Utilizes serviceable hardware.
-All steel, can be painted or left raw or even powder coated.
-Your current opener system drops right in.
-Can operate up to 16 foot long gates (economy, light weight tube gates).
-has a manual backup operation in case power loss or malfunctioning and will swing open like a normal gate until repairs are made.
