Seeking Crafters, Bakers, and Artisans for Westford School Craft Fair!

Attention all artisans, bakers, and crafters: Westford Elementary School is hosting a craft fair, and we want YOU to showcase and sell your handmade creations!

What: Westford School's 3rd Annual Arts and Crafts Fair.

When: Tuesday, May 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Booth setup is from 4:00 to 5:00.

Where: Westford School Gymnasium.

How: There will be a lot of traffic at the school due to Fine Arts night, so crafters will have a large pool of built-in buyers for their wares. In addition, this year, we are marketing the event to surrounding areas. Our goal is to double the audience size this year. So, please mark your calendars to attend even if you don't plan on selling anything!

Why: To raise funds for the Westford Elementary School Art Program.

The deadline for applying for a 6x8 space is Friday, May 7th. Craft spaces are only $10 for adults and $5 for kids (who will split the space with one other child). Please email me as soon as possible to reserve your space and for further instructions. Thank you!

Shimmery Queen Anne Table

This Queen Anne table was a wreck when I first bought it at an estate sale. (Unfortunately, I forgot to take a "before" picture. Darn it!) The dark wood was damaged and peeling (I mean really peeling), but I loved the Queen Anne legs and heart detail. So I decided to give her a second chance on life.

I repaired the wood (which took weeks), sanded the whole piece, and gave her a few coats of Sherwin Williams high gloss white before sealing it. The original brass hardware was polished and scrubbed (for over an hour!) to produce the shiny finished look.

This piece gave me a lot of grief, but I love the result! The finish is very shimmery, which you can't see very well in the photograph. It almost glows. It would look stunning as an entryway table or it could be used as a desk. It really is a showpiece.

This Queen Anne table is currently for sale at Stone Revival Gallery and Gift Shop in Stockbridge, VT for $325. If interested, please contact me. Delivery considered to most Vermont areas.

Tired Wicker Turns Stylish Outdoor Coffee Table

I found this outdoor wicker coffee table on Craigslist. The wicker was a little tired--and brown--the kid of furniture piece that never turns heads. But it had food bones, and the beveled glass top was in mint condition. I knew I could make it into a head-turner with just a little elbow grease!

I cleaned out the food bits that were stuck in between the weaves and painted it in Ocean Breeze outdoor paint. It is now beautiful, durable, and water resistant--a gorgeous addition to any outdoor patio set!

Dry, Cracked Bench Becomes Cerulean Blue Beauty!

I found this bench on Craigslist. It was badly water damaged and the wood was really dry and thirsty. I quenched its thirst by sanding out the rough areas and conditioning the wood. Then I primed it and painted it a bold and beautiful cerulean blue.

The paint is outdoor paint and water resistant; the pillow is also made from outdoor fabric and water resistant. Check out the before and after photos below!

I think it would look stunning on a front patio, in a lush garden, in an entryway, or by the poolside. The bench is $175, and the outdoor pillow is $25. If interested, please contact me!
