We were hired to make this deck stronger so it could hold the weight of a hot tub. To make it stronger we used two 8x8 posts and a 6 inch wide x 21 inch tall, 500 pound beam on it. The reason we had to do that is because there is a garage under it so we couldn't drop another post down. Now they can install their hot tub and enjoy the mountain views that come with it.

This may be my new all time favorite decking material! Garapa wood is tough and can handle a lot, making it a practical choice for your deck, plus it's really good looking. Its strength is due to its dense structure and natural ability to resist things like rot, insects, and decay.

We were able to wrap this one up right before the really bad weather hit, now come springtime my clients will be able to enjoy their outdoor space right away. Don't wait too long to get on my schedule otherwise you may have to wait a few months for your new outdoor space and you want to head into spring and summer being able to enjoy it fully! Winter doesn't slow us down one bit! I have two decks in the works right now and we wrapped up this covered patio a few weeks ago!

We had another chance to do a small deck build with a concrete patio and these are quickly becoming my favorite duos!

This was a super cool project, it tied together a lot of the kinds of work I do and it turned out awesome! Brand new deck, stamped concrete and a small pergola for them to hang some chairs and vine plants from!
