What I’ve learned on this journey is that many of us aren’t running “small businesses” — we’re nurturing “growing businesses” while balancing the realities of everyday life. We’re often working two jobs: one to build our dreams, and another to support us financially.

We’re doing everything we can to move forward, even when the process isn’t perfect. Just like the patriotic wreath I’m working on — it may not look complete right now, but with time and persistence, it will come together beautifully. Sometimes, that’s all we can ask for.

Sometimes creativity just comes naturally to me and sometimes it takes work. This poor wreath went through about 4-5 changes before I could really get the feel for what I was looking for. And sometimes it’s like that. Still have not made it permanent yet but definitely like the way it’s going..

Forgot to post our quick little hall bathroom makeover. Was bored with the “kid” bathroom. So we turned into more of a warm grown up space. Love even more that we were able to use some old dowels of Todd’s grandfather’s to make towel hooks. The whole bathroom turned out so beautiful.
