Looks like we are gonna have some cold nights coming up so if you haven’t winterized your sprinkler system yet you should take some precautions. Turn off your supply line valve in your basement/crawl space and open your drain next to it. Then go outside to your vaccuum breaker and open up any and all drains on it. Not worried about anything freezing in the ground but the above ground material may be at risk. At the very least you should wrap a blanket or something around you above ground outside material.

To our Black Hills friends that have already charged up your sprinkler system: we have a few chilly nights coming, might not be a bad idea to wrap a blanket around your vacuum breaker outside.
