Today we converted a tub to a walk in shower with a corner seat. Flipped the waste and shower valve to opposite side for better accessibility to enter and reach controls. This was for a long time customer and honestly they needed this so bad, I probably would of done it for free if they couldn't afford the job. Sheetrock and floor guy will come in tommorrow and patch the walls. We use high quality inserts, this shower will be here long after I retire and look as good as the day we installed it. All in a days works.

We get an average of 2 calls per month for a leaking or loose toilet. This home was not very old. Maybe 12 yesrs old. A closet fl**ge should be a minuim flush with the finished floor, preferably sitting on finish floor whether that be LVT, TILE OR VYNLE. Not below!!! Here is a photo of a very common mistake that causes the sub floor to rot. Plumber tried to use a thick wax and it failed. Causing a slow leak that went un noticed under the toilet until a spot showed almost 10 years later. Now a fl**ge repair will not work because it cant be secured to the floor. Tile is getting removed and subfloor replaced. We drilled out the hub and glued in a stub of pipe to properly set a new fl**ge on top of finish flooring. It is income for these sloppy, careless mistakes made by the previous plumber, but not how we like to make our money. I take great pride in our work and hope everything we touch outlasts my lifetime.
