Different kind of job this time. I refinished this antique mahogany dresser, made by Berkey & Gay Furniture Company incorporated in 1873 in Grand Rapids, MI. The company was purchased by Harvest Furniture Company in 1948.
Refinishing, I used a walnut dye stain as the base coat, then a wiping stain and black glazing to highlight the attractive beading work done on the legs and to separate the drawers. Topcoated with a low gloss 2k clear coat.

Solid cherry bookcase custom built, finished and delivered. Dark "walnut" finish with low gloss topcoat. Crafted with Beaded faceframes, raised panels, inset doors, crown molding and traditional old world hinges and hardware. Open shelving with lower cabinet for storage, and decorative foot molding along the bottom.

Finish was layered with dye stains, wiping stains and glazes.
