We ran into quite the blast from the past on a recent project at Don Tequila’s in Eastlake!

During excavation, our crew uncovered giant underground oil tanks believed to be 60 years old. These weren’t something you simply dig around and move on from — they needed to be carefully extracted and properly handled to help protect the surrounding property, workers, and environment.

Old underground tanks can present serious concerns, including structural deterioration, remaining fuel or contaminated soil, and potential leaks. That’s why proper removal and careful excavation are so important when these unexpected surprises turn up.
