We need to know if any of our followers are interested in fostering for us. Unfortunately we can no longer take on any additional dogs as we have many with medical and or age related concerns and issues.

We do have a few dogs in the wings waiting for rescue or foster. Fostering cost paid for as in food and vet care, through our vet. All we need is a few great people willing to provide safe housing.

If you can foster or know someone who can please message us.

Welcome to the shop. A shop of selectively local curated items now has preserved flower earrings.

Good morning everyone.

This is an informative post.

Meet Amber. She was brought to us last night as she was found abandoned and left in someones yard. Barely 2 weeks old, she had lots of flystrike on her and fleas. Thanks to these good samaritans she now has a chance.

Flystrike what and why. It's extremely important to know what you are looking at cause something as small and harmless looking as fly eggs can be harmful or deadly in hours.

Flystrike is a painful and sometimes fatal condition caused by flies laying their eggs on another animal. These hatch into maggots, which eat the flesh of their 'hosts'. If your pet becomes infested, ask a vet for help immediately.

Pets with dirty rear ends or generally dirty fur are particularly at risk of flystrike.

This may happen in animals which:

Are unable to clean themselves properly
Are ill - they may produce abnormally smelly urine or have diarrhea
Are fed the wrong food
Have an internal parasitic infection
Have open wound(s).

Immediate treatment.

Remove all the flystrike you can see and bathe the animal if possible.

Today has been an orchid lovers shopping dream.

We still have a few phalaeonopsis ,oncidium, and denrobium orchids.
