ATTENTION Iowa City Homeowners! We are now scheduling historical window restorations for the 2026-2027 calendar years. If your home features original wood windows that are non-functional, painted shut, have broken glass, or are experiencing lead paint deterioration, we encourage you to contact us!

FHP is directly addressing the needs of local historic homeowners. We know that maintaining these special properties often requires specialized skills, especially when it comes to preserving original features like double-hung wood windows. That's why we are sponsoring five local contractors to attend the highly regarded “Window Restoration and Weatherization Boot Camp” in Hannibal, MO, where they learn the invaluable techniques for repairing historic windows from nationally recognized "old house expert" Bob Yapp.

We're thrilled to announce that two of these contractors, Jason Berryman and Grant Helle, have already completed the workshop in April and earned their certifications.
