In This Video, we install a concrete pad for the cows to walk on. We then install a 900' long water line to provide the cows with better access to water when they are out grazing.

We're doing our best to order material well in advance of beginning a project. Pressure Treated lumber supplies have been hit or miss (mostly miss), and Trex decking can be up to a 12 week backorder. Here's today's delivery.

Not much to look at because it's just a utility room, but we are finally doing drywall joint taping - just about ready to move onto some more awesome projects.

We try to pick the most cost effective, yet efficient Insulation system.
Here in this utility room, we used foam board on the ceiling with a ventilation space above. The bays are being filled with roxul insulation. Over the roxul will be a layer of energy shield. This will make a substantial improvement over the old fiberglass insulation. The end goal is to reduce ice buildup and warm the room to improve the efficiency of the furnace and hot water heater.

This lumber shortage is definitely the case here in the Berkshire County area. We've been doing our best to secure material well ahead of our start dates.

Lumber processing plants weren't essential early on in business closures and now there's not enough in supply for the demand
