Wedding creations I made for a special day in March.

I met up with this couple at a coffee shop to discuss their wedding. The inspiration and aesthetic they were going for was nordic, woodsy, rustic, and a little bit fairy/witchy. The whole time I'm nodding and grinning like, "Yes, this is for me". I could picture everything in my head so clearly.

For the centerpieces, it all starts with a crescent moon shaped base, custom painted sparkly silver. Purple, sage, and white dried florals. The entire moon wrapped in fairy lights. A base make from three wood rounds, and a touch of moss for that woodsy, fairy finish.

The cake topper was the same concept as the centerpieces, but a hand-shaped wire was needed to achieve the vision at a smaller scale.

The hair accessories were mini bobby pins with delicate dried florals attached.

Learn the art of decoupage with me on June 6th at . Instead of decoupaging with paper or napkins, we will be using real dried flowers to create unique hanging wall art.

There's a special technique when using real dried flowers and I'd love to show you how. I'll show you how to keep the colors vibrant and useful layering techniques for a well designed "bouquet" of flowers, if you will.

We're using good old-fashioned, tried and true Mod Podge. (I'm a big fan please sponsor me lol).

Sometimes you can make something incredible with the simplest things. It all starts with an idea, but sometimes you can't quite figure out the best way to execute the idea to bring it to life. And that where the blood sweat and tears come in.

I'll be sharing with you the process of making this piece and others with a used whiskey barrel I got from over the next week.
