Huge props to Bumblebee Tree Service for swooping in to tame the crazy overgrown trees that were hogging all the sunlight from the garden and pool, not to mention the total annihilation of that gnarly old diseased tree that was basically a ticking time bomb waiting to crush the garage. And a gigantic thank you to Mr. Incredible for overseeing the whole shebang and making sure everything was done with finesse. The place looks fantastic…all bright and airy now.

What's shakin' in the Garden of Eatin' in early July?

Today: We're talkin' early morning harvest, weedin' and prunin' like a boss, and openin' up some spaces in the beds.

Tomorrow's plan is to give the soil a spa day, sow some more warm weather plant seeds, fertilize like crazy, harvest some herbs, and maybe even get a head start on those fall garden seeds.

Then, it's time to sit back, relax and enjoy the fruits of my labor... literally😎

June in the Garden of Eatin’ has been a bit slow to get growing but I’ve been able to get a bit of a harvest nonetheless. Looking forward to seeing what’s to come in July. Hard to believe that it’s time to start thinking about what I want growing and sowing seeds for the Fall garden.

When your boyfriend is Mr. Incredible, indulges your tendency towards goofiness and gets you the GIANT Rooster you’ve been wanting since you first saw it in December. You are giddy with excitement when he takes his place at the end of the driveway! What’s even better is you receive a text from your awesome neighbor who says she and her adorable daughter have named him “Russell”…Russell Crowe 😜. The little things that make me so happy.
