Yesterday we added another member to our family 🥰

As a police officer, I try so hard not to bring my work home with me. But this boy is different 🖤

Asher was one of six dogs rescued from a very large scale cruelty seizure in April. All of the other dogs got adopted quickly but he has gone nearly two months with zero applications. I believe that fact, and the facts that he has pointy ears, is brindle, and the shelter staff gave him a name ending in “er” like the rest of our pack, were all signs that he is meant to be with us ❤️

I will not have hatching eggs for the foreseeable future.

Unfortunately I lost my rooster. 😔

He was such a big boy and he was very rough on some of the smaller hens. I will be giving them a few weeks to allow their feathers to grow back before I introduce a new rooster. 🐓
