Again, thank you all for your kind words and prayers. I don't have words to explain how it makes me feel.

I won't be opening this spring and will continue to focus on my health and the recovery from the liver transplant.

Hi Everyone. Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts. I wanted to let you know, things are going really well. One month ago I received a liver transplant. Much faster that I ever dreamed. I am doing very well and am healing and making progress each day.

The Transplant Team at University of Michigan is phenomenal. They have taken such good care of me and everyone I came in contact with was wonderful.

I am still working on priorities and deciding on how hard I want to work in the nursery. But I think I can say with confidence that I will be back in business and open for sales this next spring.

I am considering hiring some help. If you or anyone you know might be interested in helping me pot up plants, pruning, w**ding and all the other stuff that goes on here, send me a message with your contact information and I keep you updated with what I am planning. I am considering people that could work about 4 hrs a day. Schedules would be flexible. The busy time is from April through early June.

Medical update.
I announced that I was going out of business with a final sale back in September for medical reasons.

I didn't give any details at the time, but I have been suffering from liver disease that requires a transplant. At the time, I had no idea how long it would take to get a liver, so I couldn't plan the business.

As it turns out, I've been blessed and will be having transplant surgery tomorrow morning.

Please pray for the donor family that has lost a loved one that made this miracle possible.

By having the surgery now, I should be healed up and could possibly open the nursery next spring. I will be giving heavy thought to my priorities and how much time I want to put into the nursery, if any. But stay tuned. I may be back in the spring.

Shasta Daisy 'Becky' is a larger daisy, about ~36 inches tall and 18-24" wide.
Well suited for hot and humid summers. Does best in anything over six hours a day of direct sunlight.

Looks great with Purple Coneflowers and Black-eyed Susans.

This is 'Pardon Me' Daylily. These are rebloomers that are just starting to bloom and will bloom throughout the summer. I also have many more, Purple, Red, Bright Yellow, Orange, Multi-color. A Big THANK YOU to all the lovely people who came to the sale this past weekend. Thank you all for sharing my post and following and liking my page. As a result of the great response, I'll have another sale next weekend. Stay tuned for a post with the details.

The photo is a Yarrow Paprika that is just beginning to bloom. It grows to about 2 ft high and forms clumps. It is deer and rabbit-resistant. Best in full sun but tolerates part shade. They bloom all summer and are a butterfly favorite.

I have Yarrow Moonshine, bright yellow and in bloom now, and a mix called 'Summer Pastels,' which will bloom soon.

Everything is perennial. I only grow perennials that will survive our winters and come back year after year.

I grow everything out in the open - no greenhouse. These plants are tough but maybe a little smaller than you're used to seeing at this time of year at the big box stores. They will quickly catch up and pass the greenhouse-grown plants.
