Must possess a positive attitude and initiative so as to function effectively in a team-oriented work environment. Is attentive and has the ability to apply what is learned. Exhibits good communication and organizational skills and has the ability to meet deadlines. Regular and timely attendance at work is essential. Travel is required.

Reads a tape accurately to 1/16”
Has the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate fractions
Has basic hand tools

This position will work with our sheet metal fabricators to produce duct work and custom sheet metal products. Candidate must have experience working with duct work or custom metal fabrication. We are looking for an energetic and optimistic individual to proactively work with customers. New England Air Systems is looking for an influential facilitator who can develop and maintain customer relationships in a fun and positive environment.

Essential Functions:
• Provide accurate estimates according to applicable building codes, building guidelines, company and industry standards for commercial, industrial, and other mechanical systems.
• Sell and assist in the project management of commercial HVAC/R and plumbing projects. Ensure proper staffing of quoted work in collaboration with Service Dispatch and Operations Project Managers.
• Sell, estimate, and close on new preventative maintenance proposals.
• Develop long term relationships with new and existing service customers in New England Air Systems territory in Vermont and New Hampshire.
• Develop capital expenditure plans with customers to promote scheduled replacement of equipment and upgrades.
• Meet annual sales goals as determined by President.
• Weekly reporting of sales activity and customer follow-up; including site visits, proposals, and new sales.
• Complete accurate and timely paperwork as it relates to reports required, paperwork, purchase orders, etc.
• Interact with fellow employees and outside parties, vendors, and customers in a cooperative and positive manner.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of HVAC/R experience, possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and have the desire to work for one of the companies named the Best Places to Work in Vermont for 2021. This is a salaried position with industry leading compensation and benefits and a company vehicle. The position is based in Williston, Vermont.

Last weekend Tracy, Todd, Ryan & Ray put in the extra hours to make sure an old folks home had heat before the weather turned. They didn't plan on working that weekend. But they were dedicated and spent a solid 12 hours on Saturday getting the heat back up & running before temperatures dropped to the single digits again!
