It’s been a little quiet over here… but behind the scenes, there’s been a lot of meaningful work happening.

At Aging in Place NC, my focus is simple:

Helping people stay safe, independent, and confident in their homes.

I work with seniors, families, and adult children who are trying to figure out the next step… whether that’s improving safety, reducing fall risks, or just making daily life feel a little easier.

Sometimes it’s identifying hazards you didn’t even realize were there.
Sometimes it’s reworking a space so it actually supports how you live.
And sometimes it’s simply helping take the overwhelm and turn it into a clear plan.

This work is personal to me, and I’m grateful for every family that trusts me to walk through it with them.

A home doesn’t suddenly become unsafe… it happens little by little.

Here are a few early signs to pay attention to:

• Holding onto furniture when walking
• Avoiding stairs or certain rooms
• Feeling unsteady in the shower
• Needing more light to see clearly
• Small stumbles or “near falls.”

These are easy to brush off, but they’re often early warning signs.

The goal isn’t to make big changes overnight…
It’s to make simple, supportive ones before something happens.

Because safety isn’t about losing independence
It’s about protecting it.

Certain medications can increase dehydration, dizziness, and fall risk, especially in higher temperatures.

Watch for signs like:
• Feeling lightheaded

Coastal Home Solutions by Natasha is now Aging in Place NC.

This change reflects a deeper focus on what has always been at the heart of my work… helping people feel safe, supported, and at peace in their homes.

Over time, I’ve felt more and more called to serve individuals and families who are navigating life transitions… especially those who want to remain safely in their homes as they age. Creating spaces that are not just organized but truly functional, accessible, and safe has become my passion.

There is nothing better than getting a message like this after a session 🙌

A recent client shared that after we worked together, she was finally able to sit down, relax in her living room, and enjoy a meal at her kitchen table again.

Let that sink in for a second.

Not a picture-perfect pantry.
Not color-coded bins.
Just peace in her home.

The spaces that had felt overwhelming and overdue were finally tackled, and now they’re functional, usable, and calming again.

This hall closet had slowly become one of those spaces where things were getting stacked, pushed back, and harder to find. After decluttering and creating simple zones, it’s now organized, functional, and much easier to maintain.

When everything has a place, keeping it that way becomes so much simpler.

Small resets like this can make a big difference in how a home functions day to day.
