Sometimes it’s not the square footage. It’s what’s happening inside it.

Good design isn’t about having more space, It’s about using the space you have well.

Too many upper cabinets😳

Poor or uneven lighting💡

Walkways that are too narrow😬

An undersized (or oversized) island🏝️

Not enough (or poorly planned) storage➡️A kitchen can have plenty of space on paper and still feel cramped.😅

Good design is about making the space you have feel bigger, work better, and make sense for how you actually live.

People ask us what it’s like working together as husband and wife.

Honestly? It’s a lot like marriage… except now we get to disagree about countertops, schedules, budgets, and who forgot to order something. 😬😂

Add in two kids, running a business, and trying to have some semblance of a normal life… and apparently we thought we needed a renovation business too.

But somehow, it works. (Not always immediately. Sometimes I need some simmer time. 😂)

We bring different strengths to the table, we challenge each other (sometimes very enthusiastically), and we’re able to see a project from both the design and construction sides.

And at the end of the day, we’re building something together — literally and otherwise.

One vision. One team. One slightly chaotic life. 🤍

They moved in last Wednesday. The kitchen isn’t finished. 😂

So this is what “almost home” looks like.

My parents officially moved into their new space last week, even though we had to wait until today for the kitchen cabinets to start going in.

There are still boxes, projects to finish, and a temporary kitchen situation happening… but after everything we’ve done to get here, we’re pretty excited to see them finally start living in the house.

Sometimes a renovation isn’t about waiting for everything to be perfect.

Sometimes it’s just about getting to the point where it feels like home.

We’ll keep working on the rest. 🤍

By the time we wrapped up the primary suite , our homeowners loved the transformation enough to trust us with one more space—the powder room.

So naturally we couldn’t resist😉

A fresh design, a few thoughtful updates & one more space that now feels completely at home with the rest of the house.

We love when a project grows beyond the original plan. But even more than that, we love when our clients trust us enough to keep creating with them.

What started as a primary bathroom remodel turned into a whole little collection of spaces—and we’re so excited to share them with you!

The bathroom may have been where this project started, but we didn’t want to stop at the bathroom.

We reworked the connection between the bedroom and closet, closing off the closet from the bedroom and adding a door inside the closet. The change gave the bedroom a little more separation and made the overall flow of the suite feel much more intentional.

Then we gave the bedroom its own refresh, including an updated fireplace that completely changed the feel of the space.

Sometimes you don’t need to reinvent a room. You just need to rethink how it works.

And this wasn’t the only space that got a little attention. More from this project coming soon…

A transformation worth the wait. ✨

This primary bathroom went from dated and disconnected to a space that feels completely elevated, intentional, and timeless.

Every detail was thoughtfully considered—from the layout and finishes to the custom touches that make the space feel uniquely theirs.

And honestly? The finished space is even better than we imagined.

✨ Progress isn’t always exciting...

Sometimes it’s plumbing inspections. Sometimes it’s drywall. Sometimes it’s waiting on cabinets. Sometimes it’s a whole lot of things that don’t look very different from one day to the next.

But every step matters.

The finished spaces may be what you see on Instagram, but getting there takes planning, patience, coordination, and a lot of behind-the-scenes work.

Because in remodeling, skipping a step or rushing the process usually creates problems later.

So here’s a little look at the part of the project that doesn’t always make the highlight reel—but is just as important. 🛠️

Happy Birthday to my favorite person & the other half of Sprouting Design. 🤍

Eight years ago, we were fixing up our first little house together and now we get to help other families create homes they love every day! It’s been pretty special getting to grow and work towards this dream with you.

Thank you for all the early mornings, late nights, problem-solving & hard work that nobody else sees. I’m so grateful we get to do this together.

Happy Birthday love, I can’t wait to see what this next year brings. ❤️
