Thinking about a new driveway, patio, or walkway? Don’t let paver myths make the decision for you. 🏡

“Pavers crack.” “Pavers are high-maintenance.” “Concrete is always cheaper.”
We asked Robert Bowers, VP of Engineering – Hardscapes at the Concrete Masonry & Hardscapes Association (CMHA), to set the record straight on six of the most common paver myths.

A few things that might surprise you:
✔️ Concrete pavers are typically 2–3x stronger than a standard poured slab
✔️ If something shifts, pavers can be lifted and reset, with no mismatched patches
✔️ Permeable pavers are designed to let rainwater soak through instead of running off

Get the full breakdown at https://hubs.la/Q04Bl57s0, then stop by your local store to see pavers in the yard.

“There’s two types of concrete – concrete that is cracked and concrete that will crack.” — Robert Bowers, CMHA

When clients push back on pavers, the engineering is on your side. We’re busting six common paver myths with insight from CMHA, plus talking points to help you guide clients to the right system for their site.

One fix for the article itself: the last line reads “Stop by any Outdoor Living Supply store see what’s in the yard.” It’s missing a “to” before “see.”
