We want to take a moment to thank those who without their help, the nursery wouldn't have run so smoothly! For the past few years, we have been especially fortunate to have the help of some truly fantastic kids: Kenzer, Colton, Wyatt, and Brady.

From unloading 1,200 trees, tagging each one, hauling heavy bundles, and carefully placing them in our lean-to, packing straw, watering, cleaning up, pulling orders, and potting the remaining trees, these kids tackled every task with enthusiasm and a smile. Their work ethic is second to none. Not once did we hear a complaint, no matter how big the job or how long the day, how cold or how hot the temperature was.

Beyond their hard work, they brought so much fun and positive energy to the nursery. Their laughter and teamwork made even the toughest days enjoyable. We truly could not have done it without them.

So, THANK YOU—and a special thank you to your parents for raising such wonderful, hardworking kids. They are so impressive!!

In 1985, Motz Nursery began as a labor of love after Dad (George), lost his orchard. George’s passion for trees took him from his Balsam Lake farm to towns all over the state with a truck full of trees and many stories to tell. Meeting wonderful people and sharing his knowledge of trees was one of his favorite things. He absolutely loved talking to everyone he met. When George passed away in 2010, Karry and I chose to keep the nursery going, and it’s been an incredible journey ever since. Over the past 15 years, we’ve made so many friends and shared countless memories. That’s why it’s hard to share that this will be our last year with the nursery. Forty years feels like a meaningful milestone! It’s amazing to think how long Motz Nursery has been part of our lives.

Thank you for being part of our story!

Dean, Karry and Ally Motz
