Here’s a peek at a few of the petunias hanging out in the greenhouse. First, the ever-striking black. While not a Wave, this standard is a stunner. And since I love a moody combo, I have it next to rose fusion. Also great with deep purple, blue, and violet 💚💚💚

Last pic is a fun one I wanted to try this year called raspberry lemonade. The color is different on each bloom and some darker ones have popped up the last few days!!

HUDSON FRIENDS- I’m delivering on Sunday, Mother’s Day morning.

You may (or may not 🤷🏻‍♀️) have noticed that things have been quiet on this page.

This season is going to look different from past years. I will NOT be doing any markets this season. I’m taking this year to focus on being present for my kids’ activities and putting more time into gardening.

HOWEVER! I will still have plants for sale. A price and plant list will follow shortly. I’m focusing mainly on petunia bedding plants, and garden staples like tomatoes, peppers, and herbs. As the season goes on, I will have produce as well. Jam will be available as I make it, and I’ll be open to orders.

Future posts will outline shopping availability here at the greenhouse! And of course, I will deliver plants locally, and once to Hudson. Eggs continue to be available for delivery year-round.

The end of the garden season is quickly approaching. Several things are done, but a few tasks remain. Fall broccoli, peppers, and carrots are still hanging around. Apples need worked, and chicken soup needs canned. Garlic will get planted in a week or two. Fall chickens are in the freezer, and the pantry shelves are getting full. A few more batches of herbs need to go through the dehydrator.

It is time to sit back and reflect on the season and why we do all of this. I tell people all the time that we do it so we can ‘shop the basement’. And that’s exactly how our supper came together tonight. Our chicken, our sweet potatoes, our broccoli, our potatoes, our bread. It has taken years to get to this point, and we’re always looking to produce more of our own food. Did I just ask Siri how much wheat you have to plant to harvest 100 pounds of berries? Absolutely. Do I have a grain mill in mind to purchase? Also, yes 🤪🤪 So, *this* is what it’s about, for us. Preserving good food and eating well!

Did I eat my pizza before I took this photo? Yes 🤣

Did it rain exactly ONE hour before this show started and we were all scrambling to cover and then *uncover* all of our stuff?
Also, yes 🤣🤣

We’ll be here until 7 tonight!

Thanks to for dinner, for the AMAZING ‘G’, and for the fabulous iced blackberry lavender latte!!

The forecast? Absolutely perfect. Sunny and 78 tomorrow. GET. OUT. OF. HERE. Saturday? MORE OF THE SAME. I can hardly wait.

I’ll be the one with the jamples and butter braid pretzels. IYKYK.

When it’s raining during market prep 😢😢

Unfortunately it’s too wet to get into the garden, so I’ll be parked at Rise and Grind with just eggs today from 5:00-6:00

Need produce before next Wednesday? Message me and we’ll arrange a drop off!
